SFC Merge
You use this activity to merge several SFC numbers that have a status of New
or In Queue
and belong to the same material and material version into one SFC number.
You can define how operators adjust quantity of merged SFC numbers. For example, if you enter Only 1.0 in the Qty Restriction
field, the operator cannot adjust quantity.
Note that you cannot merge SFC numbers, if they are members of SFC group in a status of Group Created
or Sampling Active
(see Sampling).
The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity (PR580

In the Parent SFC
field, enter an SFC number into which you want to merge other SFC numbers.
In the SFC to Merge
field, enter an SFC number that you want to merge. To merge multiple SFC numbers, enter one SFC number at a time and press TAB.
When the SFC to Merge
table contains all the SFC numbers you need, choose Merge
.
The system moves the quantity of all SFC numbers to the parent SFC number and marks the SFC numbers with zero quantity as invalid. You cannot use invalid SFC numbers in production.
DC group data values collected against a child SFC number are copied to the parent SFC number to retain the full data collection history.
After the merge, the total quantity of the parent SFC number can be larger than the lot size that is defined for the material.
