Use

If you have not used any withholding tax keys for classic withholding tax, you do not need to take any action at this stage.

The withholding tax key for classic withholding tax is contained in the withholding tax code.

Procedure

  1. In the Implementation Guide for Financial Accounting , choose Financial Accounting Global Settings → Withholding Tax → Extended Withholding Tax → Basic Settings → Define Official Withholding Tax Keys .

  2. Define the official withholding tax keys for reporting withholding tax for those countries in which you wish to use extended withholding tax.

Make sure that for all withholding tax keys (or withholding tax codes) that are used in the withholding tax codes for classic withholding tax, there is an identical entry in the withholding tax codes for extended withholding tax.
