Overriding the Service Provider Configuration With URL ParametersLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

The SAML service provider supports a number of URL parameters with which you can override the configuration.

Procedure

Enter the URL parameters manually, or develop your application to insert the parameters into the URLs used to call the resources of the service provider. You can set these parameters in the RelayState field or in the Default Application Path field by choosing Start of the navigation path Configuration Management  Next navigation step Authentication and Single Sign-On Next navigation step SAML 2.0 Next navigation step Service Provider Settings End of the navigation path and the Edit button.

URL Parameter

Description

saml2

Enter the value disabled to force a local logon to the application. You must have configured an alternative logon method in the login module stack of the application.

You can also use this option to enable an application to log out locally. The user retains all other security sessions.

saml2authnpolicy

Override the authentication policy configured for the protected resource.

saml2idp

Override the identity provider configured for the protected resource.

saml2nameidformat

Override the named ID format configured for the protected resource.
