Uploading and Downloading MIME Objects

You use the Upload/Download function to replace an existing object in the MIME Repository or to download an object from the MIME Repository.

1. Open the Object Navigator (transaction SE80) and switch to the MIME Repository.
2. Navigate to the object you want to edit and in the context menu choose Upload/Download. The function provides several different subsequent options:
   • Upload and Replace

     If you want to replace an existing MIME object with a different one, choose Upload and Replace. On the next screen you can select a folder on your local hard drive and replace the existing object.

   • Download

     If you want to download a MIME object from the Repository to your local hard drive, choose Download.

   • Download with Lock

     Download with Lock is similar to Download but the system locks the selected MIME object and it cannot be processed by other users at the same time.

   • Remove Lock

     To unlock the object, choose Remove Lock.

     Note

     The lock can be removed only by the user who has set it.

You have uploaded an object into the MIME Repository or downloaded one from it.
