Use

Individual object lists contain detailed information about objects in an order (process order, production order, planned order). For example, you want to display all production resources and tools (PRTs) used within a certain time period. The individual object list for PRTs is suitable for this because you do not need detailed information about the superordinate objects operation, sequence, and order . However, you can group the information in the individual list according to order or operation.

You define the structure of an individual object list using a layout .

The user can create and change the layout in the function, so that that no Customizing is necessary.

Background documentation

The individual lists no longer support profiles. Instead, only layouts are now used.

If no layout has been stored in the variant, the system automatically uses the default layout or the standard layout (if no default layout exists).

If you want to continue to use profiles, you must activate the old ALV output in the relevant selection screen variant of the report PPIO_ENTRY.

You can use the report PPIO_ENTRY_VARIANT_DISPLAY to display an overview of the available selection screen variants and see which variant uses the old output list.

You can use the Business Add-In WORKORDER_INFOSYSTEM to influence the layout-based object overview and the new individual lists.

For more information about maintaining selection screen variants, see Definition of Variants .

Working with the Individual Object List

You can use the standard functions of the ALVinterface to adapt the structure, contents, and representation of the individual object list: You can display/hide these by choosing Standard List Functions On ( ( ) ).

You can:

  • Sort objects in any way and filter them according to certain field values

  • Display or hide columns

  • Create totals and subtotals

  • Print and export individual object lists

  • Define generally-valid and user-specific layouts

  • Use individual object lists in the SAP GUI for HTML

     ( )

You do not have the option of comparing field values. However, this function can be realized using the BAdI WORKORDER_INFOSYSTEM.

Navigation

You can branch to different order objects and other overviews of an order.

Position the cursor on the order in question and choose Environment ( ( ) ).

You have the following navigation options:

  • Number of entries (shows the number of total, filtered, and displayed entries in the list)

  • Operation overview

  • Component overview

  • Individual status

  • Long text:

  • Configuration

  • CO data (in order archiving only)

  • Stock/requirements list

  • Stock overview

  • Logs

Mass processing logs for an order are only displayed in mass processing or order processing if you have activated the BAdI WORKORDER_UPDATE. (See SAP Note 806119)

    Background documentation

These functions can also be accessed via key combinations. In the individual lists of the object overview, only the order header list functions can be accessed via key combinations. (For example: Operation Overview Ctrl + F9 )

Display or Change Objects and Orders
  • By double-clicking on a field, you can access the display of objects for this field (for example, order or material master).

  • By positioning the cursor on a field and choosing ( ) Display Object, you can access the display for the object (for example, order or material master).

  • With ( ) Change Object you go to the processing of the object.

Display Log

To display the mass processing log for an order, choose Environment ( ( )   )   Logs   .

Refresh List

When you branch to production, process or planned orders within the list to carry out business transactions (such as the release of orders/operations, availability checks and so on), you can refresh the list afterwards:

When you refresh ( ( ) ), the system reselects the list using the selection criteria entered.

Activities

  1. To invoke the individual object list, choose

    • For the production order :   Logistics   Production   Shop Floor Control   Information System   Production Order Information System

    • For the process order :   Logistics   Production - Process   Process Order   Reporting   Order Information System   Process Order Information System

  2. Select process, production or planned orders.

  3. In the List field, choose which individual object list you want to display (for example, order headers, operations, or components).

If you also want to select planned orders, you only have the choice of Order Headers or Components .

  4. Choose a layout .

  5. Enter the selection criteria.

    Note Note

To make execution easier, you can define variants for the selection program PPIO_ENTRY (see Definition of Variants ). This enables you to preset values and hide unnecessary selection criteria.

    End of the note.

    Caution Caution

Note that making selections exclusively at operation or component level, or according to status may lead to very long response times or to termination of the program. (This does not apply toselections made using the missing parts indicator at component level). In these cases, enter additional conditions at header level (including dates) or execute the report in the background.

    End of the caution.
  6. Choose ( ) ( Execute ), to see the individual object list.
