SAP-Integrated Database Store

With the integration of the ILM Database Store into the data retention process, the entire process can now take place within an SAP system landscape.

SAP ILM Retention Management looks at SAP's data archiving and data retention as a whole, from archiving up to data storage. This process can therefore take place within an SAP system landscape and can make do without third party databases.

The BC-ILM 3.0 interface is an enhancement of the WebDAV protocol. You use it to store and adjust data. ILM Retention Management defines the interface. Up to now, the requirements from this interface were implemented only by various third parties. With the ILM Database Store, this interface is now also implemented by one of SAP's own stores. The entire data retention process can now be mapped as a process integrated in SAP.
