If you run the VAT Refund report program (RFUMSRVG00) with the following selection parameters, the system creates the respective periods in the reporting portfolio. The Counter and Version fields of each period then start with the value 1.

Periods 1 to 3: new tax refund periods

The system created new tax refund periods for the periods 1 to 3. The increase in the counter by the increment of 1 indicates the new tax refund period.

These periods have the version 1 since these are new tax refund periods.

Furthermore, the periods include only documents that were not yet included in the original periods; for example, subsequently posted documents.

Periods 4 and 5: Status Completed

For periods 4 and 5, all documents are written to new periods and the version for the new periods is increased by 1. However, the old periods are retained.

Period 6:

The data for period 6 is completely discarded and overwritten with the data of the new period. Only the manually created line items are retained. The version and the counter remain equal to 1.
