Wit RFID-enabled Kanban, the RFID technology is integrated into Kanban processing in the ERP system. You can monitor the movements and statuses of a kanban container using RFID transponders and devices. RFID-enabled Kanban makes the Kanban process more transparent and gives you a better overview of your stock situation.
You have integrated the ERP system in the SAP Auto ID Infrastructure (SAP AII) and XI systems (optional).
You have connected SAP AII to an RFID device.
In SAP ERP, the following services are offered to transfer the Kanban master data to the SAP AII system at the time of an SAP AII invocation:
KanbanByKanbanControlCycleQueryResponse_In
KanbanControlCycleByElementsQueryResponse_In
In SAP ERP, the following services are offered to update the status in the case of an SAP AII invocation:
KanbanStatusChangeRequestConfirmation_in
KanbanStatusBulkChangeRequestConfirmation_in
You attach an RFID label to a kanban container.
The kanban container is scanned with an RFID device and the RFID information is sent to the SAP AII system and then, with an XI system (optional), to the backend ERP system. Because all Web services are synchronous, information can also be sent without an XI system.
The Kanban processing takes place in the backend ERP system.
The ERP system sends updated master data to the AII system.
The SAP AII system sends the updated kanban status to the ERP system. You see the status changes on the kanban board.
You can print kanban cards with RFID informationen (see Printing of Kanban Cards with RFID Information ).
