Use

Use this function if you want to assign a different order profile to your user-specific visualization profile or if you want to change the display of the coordinate axes of the sequence schedule.

Integration

You create a visualization profile in Customizing for Sequencing. You can create several visualization profiles for different purposes.

You can specify a visualization profile on the initial screen of the sequence planning board and in the user-specific settings. In Customizing, you can also specify for each plant a default profile that the system uses if no other visualization profile is specified for sequencing. If you do not specify a default profile, the system uses the standard default profile.

You can also change a profile on a user-specific basis, and save these changes, in the user-specific settings.

Features

  • You assign the order profile to the visualization profile by defining the visualization of the order characteristics.

  • In the visualization profile, you can specify the width of a column that the system uses to display the orders of one day. You specify the column width in the scale 1/100 mm.If you subdivided the period of examination into a short-term and a medium-term planning horizon in the planning profile, you can specify a factor that the system uses to calculate the column width for the medium-term planning horizon.

  • You can define the convolution of the time axis by specifying how many lines the sequence schedule displays per day for a production line segment in the Number of Rows field You can enter a number of rows between 1 and 24.

If you enter “24” as the number of rows, the system displays 24 hours on the vertical axis and one hour on the horizontal axis. This means you can see the orders of one hour in one row.

If you enter “12” as the number of rows, the sequence schedule shows 12 hours on the vertical axis and 2 hours on the horizontal time axis. This means you can see the orders of two hours in one row.

If you enter “01” as the number of rows, the system displays 1 hour on the vertical time axis and 24 hours on the horizontal time axis. This means you can see the orders of 24 hours in one row.

If you enter “00” as the number of rows, sequencing calculates the number of lines automatically. This automatic calculation determines the number of rows per production line segment depending on the takt time. If the takt time is small, the sequence schedule displays a lot of rows per line segment in the sequence schedule. If the takt time is large, the system only displays a few rows per line segment.

  • Automatic refreshing

You can specify a period after which the display on the sequence planning board automatically refreshes. This function is only possible when the sequence planning board is in display mode. If you are in the process of changing the sequencing, the function is not active. The period for the refreshing can be changed on a user-specific basis on the sequence planning board.

  • Display of current time-spot

You can specify that a line marking the current time appears when the sequence planning board is displayed. When you update the display of the sequencing, the line is likewise updated.

When you are in change mode on the sequence planning board, the line also appears but cannot be updated. You thus always see the point in time at which you commenced your changes.
