Transferring Scheduling Results to a Material Master Record Locate this document in the navigation structure

You can specify the in-house production time dependent or independent of lot sizes in the material master record. After non order-related scheduling has been carried out for a routing, you can update the in-house production time dependent on lot sizes in the material master with the new data determined by scheduling. It is important for requirements planning that the scheduling data in the material master and the routing agree.

In requirements planning, the system first calculates the basic order dates from the data in the material master record . In detailed planning, the data in the routing is used. If, for example, you have maintained a shorter in-house production time in the material master than in the routing, the system begins reduction measures even though this may not be your intention.

The following data can be transferred when you update the material master:

  • Setup time

  • Processing time

  • Interoperation time

  • Assembly Scrap

The assembly scrap is determined from the total operation scrap in the routing.

  • Base quantity

The lot size you used to schedule the routing is copied in the material master as the base quantity.

If you have maintained an in-house production time dependent on lot size in the material master, this value is set to zero when the material master is updated.

To update a material master record, you need authorization object C_ROUT_MAT in your user master record.
