Definition

The sequence schedule is the result of Sequencing. In it, the system displays the sequence of the planned orders in graphic form and specifies the start and finish dates for the complete production line or for the individual buffered sections.

Structure

The sequence schedule contains the following data:

  • The production lines and the line segments

In the horizontal section, the sequence schedule displays the production line or its visualization segment. If you have added sort buffers to the line hierarchy, you can define several line segments as visualization segments for planning. Then, the system displays a separate section for each visualization segment. In the standard system, the sequence schedule displays the header of the line hierarchy as the visualization segment.

Depending on your visualization settings, the sequence schedule displays the planned orders arriving at a visualization segment or leaving the visualization segment on a time axis.

  • The operating time in the daily split

The sequence schedule displays the orders in one day in a column which contains a folded time axis. The system uses the available shifts in the work centers from the line hierarchy to calculate the operating time. The work-free time (for example, the breaks) are shaded in gray in the sequence schedule. If there is not enough time in one shift to complete an order, the work-free time is shaded with black lines and the system plans the rest of the processing time required for the order in the next shift.

Note Note

When you access Sequencing in the Control View , the sequence schedule only displays the production lines in one column. In this column, you can see the line segments on the folded time axis and which orders are currently at the line segments. The sequence schedule also displays the orders waiting to be processed before the production line and the orders that have been completed at the end of the production line.

End of the note.
  • The planned orders that lie in the period to be planned.

In the sequence schedule, the system displays an order bar per planned order in each row. The order bars can contain up to three graphic elements. You can display the status of an order characteristic with the colors of these graphic elements.

  • The order list.

In the upper section of the graphic, you can display a list of the planned orders. This list displays the detailed data of an order, such as, the production start and finish dates or the production version.

  • The orders waiting to be dispatched.

In the lower section of the sequence schedule, the system displays the orders that have not yet been dispatched. The system does not differentiate between visualization segments for these orders – the sequence schedule displays the orders still to be dispatched for the complete production line. If you increase the operating time of the production line, the system automatically dispatches the additional orders that can be processed in this increased operating time.

This data is re-read every time the sequence schedule is accessed so that information on any changes (for example, to the operating time or to the sequence of the planned orders) is always available.
