The following functions allow you to process the template.

Display the template hierarchy (an overview of all existing templates), Delete templates directly in this tree structure If you delete a template from the hierarchy, the template is permanently deleted from the system.

The hierarchy tree structure consists of the levels Controlling area , Environment , Template , and Sub-template .

Generate templates (this occurs after the transport; see Transport Settings for Activity-Based Costing)

Generating all templates for a controlling area can be time consuming.

Generating from the initial screen:

  1. Select a template for processing.

  2. Choose  ( ) or   Template   Generate.  

Using the hierarchy display:

  1. Place the cursor on a controlling area, an environment or a template.

  2. Choose  ( ) or   Edit   Generate Template.  

All templates belonging to the chosen level are generated.

Do not copy cells that contain formulas or methods. After copying, the formulas or methods no longer work.

Select a row

Click on the furthest left end of the row (square).

Select all rows

Choose  ( ) (next to the “type” column header).

Select a column

Click on the head of the column.

Select a cell

Click on the cell.

Create long text for the row

  1. Double-click on a cell in the Name column.

  2. On the Text Processing screen, enter an abbreviation for the corresponding language

  3. Choose  ( ) .

  4. Enter the text (for more information, see screen Long Text for Items by choosing   Help   ApplicationHelp   )

Insert a row

  1. Select the row over which a new one is to be inserted.

  2. Choose  ( ) .

Insert a new row

Choose  ( ) .

Delete a row

  1. Select the row to be deleted.

  2. Choose  ( ) .

Process the current cell.

  1. Position the cursor on the cell.

  2. Choose  ( ) .

    (can also use the right mouse button)

Copy a row

  1. Select the row to be copied.

  2. Choose  ( ) .

  3. Select the row over which the copied one is to be inserted.

  4. Choose  ( ) .

Copy a cell

  1. Select the cell to be copied.

  2. Choose  ( ) .

  3. Select the cell to which the contents are to be copied.

  4. Choose  ( ) .

Check your entries

Choose  ( ) .

Print the template table

Choose  ( ) .

Find a character sequence in the template data

Choose  ( ) .

Set up the best column width (to enable the complete column text to be read)

  1. Use the right mouse button.

  2. Choose Optimize Width .
