Person Responsible for Production in Kanban 
Definition
The person responsible for production can be in charge of the further processing of materials and for monitoring stocks in one or more production supply areas and/or be responsible as the supply source for monitoring the staging of the materials produced in his or her area.
Persons responsible for production are defined as MRP controllers in Customizing for Material Requirements Planning (under Master Data ).
Use
By assigning a "person responsible" to a production supply area, you define who is responsible as the demand source (consumer) for the further processing of the materials and for monitoring stocks at the supply area.
You enter a "person responsible" in the control cycle within the context of in-house production to define who is responsible as the supplier (supply source) for replenishment - that is to say, for the staging of the materials and, where applicable, for their transportation to the consumer (demand source).
