You use this activity to move records regarding finished work from the active database to another database, which speeds up the retrieval of production records.

A number of 50-500 is a recommended value that gives good performance without exceeding the database limits (about 1000).

The Unarchive function allows you to restore archived records if needed.

For more information, see Archiving.

Procedure

  1. On the Archive screen, specify the action that you want to perform.

  2. Specify the SFC number or shop order number that you want to archive or unarchive.

  3. Choose OK.

Note Note

If you enter both an SFC number and a shop order number, the system ignores the shop order.

End of the note.

If you have archived an SFC number or shop order, the system moves the SFC number or shop order record from the WIP database to the archive database.

If you have unarchived an SFC number or shop order, the system moves the SFC number or shop order record from the archive database to the WIP database.
