Worklist for Processing PI Sheets Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

You can use this function to create a worklist of only those PI sheets that need to be processed . If you are a process operator and only want to select PI sheets whose status allows processing, for example, you can use this function.

Features

Standard Selection Variant and Standard Display Variant

For the Worklist - Process transaction, SAP has defined the following standard selection variant and standard display variant and assigned them to a user parameter:

User Parameter

Standard Selection Variant

Standard Display Variant

PI_VAR_WL_WRK

SAP&PI_WL_WRK

0PI_WL_WRK

The selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK comprises the following predefined criteria:

  • Plant-specific search (the Plant field is mandatory)

  • operator-specific search (the operating group field is a required field)

  • PI sheets that have not been created for test purposes

  • PI sheets that have status New and are planned for the next 24 hours

  • PI sheets that have status In process

The display variant 0PI_WL_WRK defines the following list structure:

  • The PI sheets are sorted by the earliest production start (date and time)

  • For a PI sheet, you also see the order number, the material number, the material short text, the batch, and the status.

User-Specific Settings

Depending on the settings you have made in Customizing for Process Management by choosing Control Recipes/PI Sheets -> Selection Variants for PI Sheets , either a selection screen or the worklist appears directly when you call the Worklist - Maintain transaction.

  • No settings

If you have not made any settings in your user master record, the selection screen with the criteria defined in the standard selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK first appears. You can change these criteria.

After choosing Execute , the worklist appears:

With the selection criteria defined in the SAP&PI_WL_WRK selection variant

With the list structure defined in the 0PI_WL_WRK display variant

  • User parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK, selection variant, SAP&PI_WL_WRK, and display variant 0PI_WL_WRK If you have entered the user parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK and the standard selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK with the display variant 0PI_WL_WRK in your user master record, the system first prompts you for the plant and processor group. You must enter the plant and processor group before the system takes you directly to the worklist:

With the selection criteria defined in the SAP&PI_WL_WRK selection variant

With the list structure defined in the 0PI_WL_WRK display variant

  • User parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK, selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK, and your own display variant If you have entered the user variant PI_VAR_WL_WRK and the standard selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK with the your own display variant in your user master record, the system first prompts you for the plant and processor group. You must enter the plant and processor group before the system takes you directly to the worklist:

With the selection criteria defined in the selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK

With the list structure defined in your display variant

    Note Note

If you use the standard selection variant SAP&PI_WL_WRK, you can also enter a plant and a processor group in your user master record. If you do so, the system does not prompt you for the plant and processor group after you have called the transaction but takes you directly to the worklist. The system automatically takes into account the plant and processor group assigned in your master record when selecting PI sheets. Use the following parameters for the plant and processor group:

    End of the note.
    • Parameter for plant: WRK

    • Parameter for processor group: STADR

  • User parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK, your own selection variant, and display variant PI_VAR_WL_WRK If you have entered the user parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK anda self-defined selection variant with the display variant 0PI_WL_WRK, the system takes you directly to the worklist:

With the selection criteria defined in your selection variant

With the list structure defined in the display variant 0PI_WL_WRK

  • User parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK, your own selection variant, and your own display variant If you have entered the user parameter PI_VAR_WL_WRK and a self-defined selection variant with a self-defined display variant in your user master record, the system takes you directly to the worklist:

With the selection criteria defined in your selection variant

With the list structure defined in your display variant

Activities

To call up the worklist for maintaining PI sheets, proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP menu, choose Logistics -> Production - Process -> Process Management -> PI Sheet -> Worklist - Maintain.

If the system takes you directly to the worklist, continue with step 3.

If it first takes you to the selection screen with predefined selection criteria, continue with step 2.

  2. Change the criteria on the selection screen, if required, and choose ( ) .

    The worklist appears.

  3. You can carry out the following functions in the worklist by choosing the corresponding icon:

    Function

    Procedure

    Display PI sheet

    Select a PI sheet and choose ( ) .

    Process PI Sheet

    Select a PI sheet and choose ( ) .

Note Note

Via   PI Sheet   Print as PDF,   you can print out a selected PI sheet already in the PI sheet without first haveing to load the PI sheet. In this way, the saved data that cannot be changed that exists in the XML of the PI sheet can be outputted directly.

End of the note.

The additional option for printing out the PI sheet as a print form in PDF format is offered in the worklist as a function and in the individual view of the loaded PI sheet as a pushbutton. It serves to create a production report in an SAP-independent format and as an alternative method of printing out production papers.

The up-to-dateness of the data is ensured only in the invoked PI sheet.

Upon the recommendation of ADOBE and as described in PDF-Based Print Forms, no scripts are used in the ADOBE print forms.

Note that as a result (due to technical restrictions) there may be differences between the layout on the screen or the printout in HTML format and the printout of the PDF document.

The following differences are liable to occur:

  1. Formatted text (SAPScript, HTML, …) is outputted unformatted.

  2. Images are not outputted depending on source reference (SAP-internal, e.g. icons or external hyperlinks)

  3. HTML elements (such as asterisks for mandatory input fields) are not all outputted

  4. Native text (such as units of measure) is outputted as textbox

  5. Grouped tables are represented as individual elements

  6. Selection lists for characteristics are displayed unexpanded

If you should require a printout corresponding to the screen layout, you can create the appropriate scripts in the implementation project. Alternatively, you can use a print program that prints the HTML-based pages (see also Note 810895).
