Use

Various processing functions are available in the planning table for changing all the production quantities in a defined period simultaneously. You can use these functions for make-to-stock production as well as for make/engineer-to-order production.

When processing the production quantities, the system adjusts the quantities and the dates of the existing planned orders accordingly. In make/engineer-to-order production, however, the reference to the sales order remains intact.

Features

These processing functions make it easy to change several production quantities at once as you can select rows and columns . This is particularly useful if you have a lot of rows in the planning table when working with large numbers of materials or production lines.

By selecting the columns, you define the period in which the system is to change the production quantities. If you do not select any columns, the system displays a dialog box where you can select the period.

The following functions are available:

Reassigning Quantities

Using this function, you can move production quantities from one production line to other production lines or if you have quantities that have not yet been assigned, you can assign these quantities to production lines.

Increasing/Reducing Production Quantities

Using this function, you can increase or reduce the production quantities of one version of a material within a predefined period of time.

Rolling Forward Open Production Quantities

Using this function, you can move production quantities for one or for all versions of a material to the present or the future. You can do this for all open production quantities that have already moved into the past (displayed in the column Overdue ) and for production quantities that lie up to a certain date. You can also use this function to move production quantities earlier forward on the time axis.

Transferring Requirements

Using this function, you can transfer the customer requirements and planned independent requirements of a material to the planning table over a predefined period of time. In the planning table, you can distribute these requirements as receipts over the production lines.

Distributing Quantities to a Daily Rate/Shift

Using these functions, you can distribute existing planned orders over days or shifts according to the results of lead time scheduling. Or, you can distribute the quantities smoothly according to the available capacity you maintained for the production line. The system creates a new planned order for every day or for every shift and deletes the existing one.
