 Classifying Production Resources/Tools Locate this document in the navigation structure

This procedure describes how to classify a production resource/tool (PRT) with a PRT master record (miscellaneous) .

Prerequisites

The class to which you want to assign the production resource/tool (PRT) has been created with class type 009 Production resources/tools in the classification system; see CA - Classification Guide .

Procedure

  1. Choose   Logistics   Production   Master data   Production resources/tools   and then   Prod. resources/tools PRT master (misc.)   Change   .  

  2. Enter the PRT key and choose ( ) .

  3. Choose Class overview and if necessary choose a class type.

  4. Enter the class to which you want to assign the production resource/tool. This class must belong to class type 009 Production resources/tools.

  5. Choose   Edit   Values   .

  6. A list with the class characteristics that are assigned to the PRT class is displayed.

  7. Assign values that are valid for the selected production resource/tool to the characteristics.

  8. Save the PRT.

Result

The production resource/tool is assigned to the class. You can now search for the production resource/tool using the class or its characteristics.
