In the integrated MES scenario, you can distribute planned orders using the DRF. If you have set up DRF integration for the planned order, replication is triggered in various scenarios and thus directly in the associated transactions. The saving and automatic distribution of the newly-created planned order are combined into one step, as long as the planned order matches the filter criteria for the distribution. For the distribution process, it does not matter which transaction you used to create the order (using the MRP run, the planning table for repetitive manufacturing, or manually).

Distribution by means of the transaction Select Transaction Data for Transfer (POIT) is no longer possible for planned orders that match the filter criteria specified in the DRF.

You can use planned order integration for repetitive manufacturing.

Prerequisites

For integration with the planned order, a BAdI for adjusting the IDoc LOIPLO01 is available in Customizing for Production under   Integration with a Manufacturing Execution System   Enhance IDocs for Integration with an MES  .

You have created and activated a replication model that contains the outbound implementation for the planned order (92_1).

If you distribute the planned order using the DRF, the following prerequisites must be met:

  • The planned order must be used in repetitive manufacturing.

  • It must not be created in the kanban process.

  • You must provide a production version with it.

  • The conversion indicator must not be set.

Features

Integration for the production order has been realized as follows:

  • Scheduling

You can control order distribution using the date. Planned orders with an opening date that lies in the future are not included in the replication process. In the transaction Execute Data Replication (DRFOUT), you can trigger the distribution of planned orders manually based on the planned opening date. In the case of planned order integration, the planned opening date is set as a fixed filter criterion by default. If the opening date lies in the future at the time of distribution, this planned order is not yet taken into account. To ensure that the data is transferred anyway, report RDRF_MESSAGE_OUT must be scheduled regularly. In the transaction Execute Data Replication, you can define a variant that you can use to schedule distribution as a job. All orders are distributed that match the defined filter criteria. The planned orders are due for distribution as soon as the current date reaches the planned opening date. You can replicate a single planned order using transaction DRFOUT. Here, you can specify the planned order number.

  • Confirmation

When a planned order is distributed to an MES, the confirmation for the planned order only takes place using the MES. Potential deviations between the actual production quantity and the originally planned requested quantity are automatically balanced out by the system so that the dataset is always consistent between the ERP system and the MES. The MES can classify the finished product batch during confirmation.

Note that you cannot create any direct confirmations for a distributed planned order in ERP and you can no longer change specific order data, such as the plant or the production version.

  • Data synchronization

Subsequent changes to the planned order, done either manually or through planning (such as the MRP run), are automatically synchronized with the MES, as long as the planned order was already distributed to the MES.

Planned order integration affects certain standard transactions in the following way:

  • Create Planned Order (MD11), Change Planned Order, (MD12) and Display Planned Order (MD13)

New planned orders created are distributed to an MES automatically by means of an IDoc, provided that the values match the filter criteria defined in the DRF. You define the various filter settings and distribution variants in the transaction Define Filter Criteria (DRFF). As soon as you save the created planned order, distribution to an MES is triggered and the indicator in the Plnnd Order Distributed field is set automatically. If the opening date of a planned order lies in the future when it is created, the planned order is not included at first in distribution to an MES, as described above.

  • MRP Run (MD01)

If a material is required, corresponding planned orders are generated during an MRP run. When the MRP run starts, all planned orders that meet the filter criteria are distributed to an MES.

  • Planning Table (MF50) for repetitive manufacturing

Using the planning table, you can access all central functions of planning and production control. As soon as you enter new production quantities or change existing quantities, planned orders are created, changed, or deleted at the same time. All changes to planned orders that match the filter criteria are automatically forwarded to an MES also by means of the planning table.
