Using Data Carrier SynchronizationLocate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Data carrier synchronization is used when you do not have an online connection available to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE). In this case, you can use storage devices such as floppy discs, CDs, DVDs, and USBdrives to transfer the data between the DOE and your device. A user then transfers the storage device between the client device and either the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) or an another device that is connected to the DOE.

Note
  • To update the data on the mobile client for laptops, you must import the data from the storage device.
  • To send an update to the DOE, you must export the data from the mobile client for laptops to the storage device.

To transfer data between the client device and the storage device, you specify the data carrier settings and synchronize to import or export applications and data.

Procedure
  1. Configure the Data Carrier Synchronization settings.
