As a Grid view

A list can be displayed as an element with other screen elements together in an SAP GUI window. In this case the menu List is missing as a unique display would not be possible for multiple window elements and possibly multiple lists. In this case all available list functions are offered with the help of icons directly in the relevenat list toolbar.

As a Fullscreen view

In this case the list fills the whole window of the SAP GUI. The main menu bar of the screen offers the List menu where there are functions that refer to the only list that is available.

Alternatively, these functions can also be offered using icons of the list toolbar.
