Use

The integrated viewer includes measurement functions, with which you can analyze the geometry of the model. The measurements for the model are created solely for the current processing situation, and cannot be saved.

Measurement Functions

Efficient measurement functions are available for the following measurement analyses:

  • Point

  • Length

  • Chain

    The previous end measurement is the reference point.

  • Fan

    The start measurement is always the reference measurement.

The measurement texts for coordinates are generated dynamically. You can position these texts as you wish.

Procedure

You display the 3D model with the integrated viewer in the standard SAP system, and the viewer function bar is active.

  1. Select   Tools   Measurements   .

The system adapts the function bar for the new functions. The measurement functions are available.

  1. Choose the measurement function (such as length measurement), and analyze the measurement data that is generated.

  2. ( )

    Carry out the measurement according to type, for example, first the point measurement, and then the length measurement. In this case you can carry out additional measurements of the same type by pressing Continue , and therefore not need to change your type settings as frequently.

  3. To return to the viewer function bar, choose ( ) . The measurement data cannot be saved.
