You can save any number of views with different settings for a list. Only you can use these views; they cannot be seen by other users. The views that you create for the current list are not available in other lists. If you created a view yourself, it is displyed in the View dropdown list box.

You can make the following changes:

  • Copy view

  • Rename view

  • Set as the initial view

Procedure

Creating Views

You can see that you have made changes to a view by an asterisk displayed next to the view name.

Changed Standard View with Save As Button (Changed Standard View with Save As Button)

If you have changed the standard view or a view provided by the system then you can save this as a view of your own with another name.

  1. To save changes to a view provided by a system, choose Save As (Save As). You are in the Save View As dialog box.

  2. In the Description entry box, enter a new, unique description.

  3. If you want to start the application with this view in future, set the Initial View flag and choose OK.

Changing Views

  1. To save changes to a view of your own, choose Save (Save).

Creating Views
  1. To generate a view, open the Settings dialog box.

  2. Make all settings in the dialog box that you want to save in the view.

  3. Choose Save As. You are in the Save View As dialog box.

  4. In the Description input field, enter a new, unique description and choose OK. The view is created and included in the dropdown list box.

Renaming Views
  1. To rename a view, open the Settings dialog box.

  2. Choose the view you want to rename. Ensure that it is not the standard view.

  3. Choose Properties. You are in the Change Properties of View dialog box.

  4. In the Description input field, enter a new, unique description and choose OK.

  5. Apply your settings to the list as required.
