There are two ways of sorting a list:

  • Using the column title

  • Using the Sort tab on the Settings dialog box. Using this dialog box you can also sort other columns.

Prerequisites

The option to sort one or more columns is permitted for your application.

Procedure

Sorting
  1. Click the column title of the column according to which the list is to be ordered. If sorting is possible for this column, this small triangle symbol appears and the sort and filter menu opens.

  2. Select the required sort direction from the menu:

    • Sort Ascending or

    • Sort Descending.

The list is sorted in the required direciton and the sort direction is displayed in the column title:

    • Sorted ascending:

    • Sorted descending:

You can change the sort direction again in the same way.

  3. To cancel a sort, you can:

    • Sort another column (this cancels the sort for the previously sorted column).

    • Open the Settings dialog box and remove the columns from the Sorted Columns list.
