Enabling Automatic Synchronization

You can enable the mobile client for laptops to synchronize the applications and data automatically. You specify the time intervals at which you want the client to synchronize with the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE) automatically. By enabling this option, you can continue to work on the mobile applications while synchronization occurs in the background.

You have a connection available for connecting to the DOE.

1. On the mobile client for laptops homepage, choose Settings.
2. Choose Synchronization Settings  → Advanced.
3. Select the Background Sync Enabled indicator.
4. In the Background Sync Interval field, enter the number of seconds.

   This field specifies the time interval between synchronizations.

5. To enable only uploads to the server, select the Suppress download during background synchronization indicator.

   This option stops downloads from the server and makes the synchronization process faster.

6. Choose Save.
