Use

When a production order is executed, process data must be reported back and business transactions/activities triggered to ensure consistency of data between process control and the various participating components of the SAP system.

The standard SAP system contains a series of predefined message destinations (recipients) (for example, function modules) and process messages that enable both integration with MM and QM and status management for production orders and control instructions. The individual transactions are triggered when a message of the relevant message category is received at the corresponding destination.

Prerequisites

You have made the necessary settings in Customizing under   Production   Shop Floor Control   Integration   Process Integration   Process Messages   .

You have copied the standard messages for PP and PI under   Production   Shop Floor Control   Integration   Process Integration   Standard Settings   Adopt Predefined Message Categories   .

Check the settings for the PP process messages and message destinations in Customizing under   Production   Shop Floor Control   Integration   Process Integration   Process Messages   Process Message Destinations   Define and Set Up Message Destinations   .
