Manually Creating or Changing Components 
Use
Components can be added to, changed or deleted from a production order that has been created or released at any time. Note, however, the following:
You cannot change the item category of a component once it has been created in the order.
If you delete a component that is assigned to a released operation, the system continues to display the component in the order. . However, you can no longer enter data for the component. The status Deletion indicator set is activated in the component.
