You use this POD to record the results of your testing, analysis, repair, and inspection of PCA boards or other materials in the system. This activity allows you to view and interact with a graphical model of the board or other material you are working on, including ECAD layouts and schematics, and 2D and 3D geometry models.

This POD allows electronics manufacturers, in particular printed circuit board assemblers, to log defects against printed circuit board components. Discrete manufacturers can use this POD to log defects and specify the location of the defects on parts. It allows manufacturers of mass produced parts to record the number of occurrences of predefined nonconformance types.

Selecting an element in the model populates fields in the NC Data Entry plug-in (for example, Ref Des and Component) as configured for your site. Selecting an existing row in the NC Tree highlights and centers the corresponding element in the model display (if there is one).
