You use this activity to search for SFC numbers by entering the following:

  • Frequently-used criteria

  • Criteria for finding SFC numbers with a particular build history

  • Less frequently-used criteria for finding SFC numbers, including the RMA number, container number, and hold ID

Finds SFC numbers whose numbers begin with the letters or numbers you enter

Not Done: Excludes Scrapped, Deleted and Invalid SFC numbers

Note Note

SFC Browse does not find SFC numbers containing a component from the specified value for the Vendor, Vendor Lot or Vendor Date Code if the component was added using time-based assembly (see Build Tab).

Description

Customer

Finds SFC numbers with this customer identifier

Hold ID

Finds SFC numbers and other objects placed on hold at the same time under the same hold ID

RMA Number

Finds SFC numbers being tracked with this RMA number

Container Number

Finds SFC numbers packed in a container with this container number

Date Range

Finds SFC numbers with the selected SFC status at the specified date range

Custom: Finds SFC numbers with the selected SFC status at the date specified in the Start Date/Time and/or End Date/Time fields

NC Code

Finds SFC numbers nonconformed with this NC code

User ID

Finds SFC numbers currently processed by this user

Original SFC

Finds the SFC number originally assigned to this SFC number, even though the SFC number may now have been changed

Age (Days)

Finds SFC numbers whose age is greater than the number of days entered

Example Example

0: Finds SFC numbers created before today's midnight

1: Finds SFC numbers created before yesterday's midnight

Note Note

If the operation was also specified in the Operation field on the Main tab page, it finds SFC numbers whose age in a queue or in progress at this operation is greater than the number of days entered.

Procedure

To browse for SFC numbers, proceed as follows:

  1. On the SFC Browse screen, enter criteria to find the SFC numbers you are searching for.

    The fields marked with a green triangle are optionally required fields. You must enter a value for at least one of these fields.

    Depending on the activity you browsed from, and the information you entered in that activity, the system may fill out some fields for you. Depending on the activity you browsed from, the search results may or may not allow selection of multiple rows for action.

    Note that the values All and Not Done cannot be used when searching for SFC numbers only by SFC Status.

  2. Choose the Search button. The results of your search are displayed in a table at the bottom of the screen.

    By default, the maximum number of result rows is 1000.

  3. Select the desired SFC numbers.

  4. Choose OK to close SFC Browse and return to the previous screen.

Result

The selected SFC numbers appear in the table.
