You use this activity to define and update attributes of the Executive Dashboard Viewer (see Executive Dashboard Viewer).

Fields

The following tables describe fields requiring explanation:

Description

Sequence

Identifies the order in which the portlet is to be displayed in the Executive Dashboard Viewer

Using this sequence number, you can locate the portlet on the Layout View.

New Row

If selected, indicates that the identified portlet will start a new row on the Executive Dashboard Viewer screen

Portlet

The portlet value is selected in a Browse screen that appears when a new row is inserted.

Size

Identifies the size the portlet to be displayed in the Executive Dashboard. Available sizes are the following:

  • Small (1x1)

  • Medium (2x2)

  • Large (3x3)

  • Wide (1x2)

  • Tall (2x1)

  • Row (1x3)

  • Column (3x1)

Note that not all sizes appear in the dropdown list for each portlet. A list of available sizes depends on the selected portlet.

Caution Caution

If the chart part of the graphic has its size reduced too much, the graphic appears blank. This can happen when the description for a bar is excessively long. If this happens, that portlet needs to be displayed in a taller screen.

Refresh Rate (secs)

The period of time in seconds it takes for the portlet to refresh

Parameters

Opens the Portlet Parameters screen that allows you to define the parameters for the selected portlet

Specifies how the defined executive dashboard will look in the Executive Dashboard Viewer

Common Parameters Tab Page

Field

Description

Date Range

The date range that the defined Executive Dashboard will use when viewed

Three Custom Common Parameters

Three user definable common parameters in which you are able to name and define. These additional fields can be used by user defined portlets that accept these values.

Status

Identifies whether the selected common parameter passes to each portlet

Not Used: The parameter is not passed to each portlet in the Executive Dashboard.

Used/Visible: The parameter is passed to each portlet and is visible as a field in the Executive Dashboard.

Used/Hidden: The parameter is passed to each portlet, but is not visible as a field in the Executive Dashboard.
