 Accessing the Error Log Locate this document in the navigation structure

Use

Should errors arise when you are working in the pull list, you can display the corresponding error messages in detail. You can also display warnings, information messages and termination messages:

  • In the pull list, you also have the option of displaying an individual log for the last action for which a message was created.

  • You can also display an overall log containing all the error messages from the current session. If necessary, you can instruct the system to save this log. You do this in the Global Settings under Dialog control . In total, the system can save three logs of one user. You can access the overall log in the pull list and in a separate transaction.

The system does not save the log if you quit the pull list without posting the replenishment elements.

Procedure

To display the individual/overall log:

  1. Starting from the pull list, access the error log by choosing   Goto   Individual log   or   Goto   Overall log.  

Note Note

You can also branch straight from the dialog box, which informs you an error has occurred, to the appropriate log.

You receive an error log that is split into:

  • Information messages

  • Warning messages

  • Error messages

  • Termination messages

  1. Display the long text by choosing Information messages , for example.

  1. The system displays the long texts for all the information messages.

  1. Choose Back to return to the pull list.

To display the general log:

  1. To access the error log, start from the main Repetitive Manufacturing menu and choose   Material staging   Log   .

The system displays the initial screen of the error log.

  1. Choose Last user log to display the last log or enter your selection criteria and choose Execute .

The system then displays a list with the logs that correspond to your selection criteria.

 ( ) However, the system always only saves the last three logs of a user.

  1. Double-click the log to access the detailed display.

A red light at the beginning of the row means that this log contains error messages and termination messages.
