Use

The production version contains the technical information on how a material can be manufactured. If this technical method has become outdated, you can delete the production version.

Prerequisites

  • You must settle the product cost collector you created for the production version.

  • No more planned orders exist in the system which are assigned to this production version.

  • If you work with reporting points in make-to-stock REM, no more work in process (WIP) exists on the production line in question. That is, work in process must be closed in the period-end closing in Cost Object Controlling.

  • If an inspection lot exists, you must already have made the usage decision for the inspection lot.

  • For the period in which the last reporting point backflush was carried out and for all previous periods in which the run schedule header or the production version is valid.

  • the cutoff period is set for the WIP calculation

  • the cutoff period is set for the variance calculation (operation KVAR)

Procedure

  1. From the MRP views in the material master record, choose Prod.versions .

  2. The Production Version Overview dialog box appears.

  3. Select the production version and choose Delete .

  4. Choose Continue and save the material master record .

Result

When deleting the production version (or a run schedule header) the reporting point information is also deleted.
