You can use this functionality to collect, validate, and trace data for assembled components for each instance of an SFC number or a product being built. This data is entered through barcode scanning or manually by manufacturing personnel.

As components are assembled onto the product, the system records the assembly data for each component.

A distinct SFC Assembly record is created and updated as the manufacturing process proceeds and higher level assembly of components occurs. The system traces all actions that take place on an SFC number such as addition of BOM and non-BOM components, removal or replacement of specific component data until the product is finished (see As-Built Configuration).
