You can set up the system so that when an operator logs a primary or secondary NC code against an SFC number that is an assembled component, the system displays a dialog box asking users if they want to remove the component.

Procedure

  1. On the Basic Log NC (FBI) or Advanced Log NC tab pages of NC Client Maintenance, do the following:

    • Select the Auto Remove/Replace NC Components checkbox.

    • In the Component Disposition Routing field, specify the disposition routing where you want the system to send the removed component.

  2. In NC Code Maintenance, make sure the NC codes you want operators to log with this feature are associated with data types that contain the Component or Ref Des fields.
