You use this activity to remove SFC numbers from production by marking them as either Scrapped or Deleted.

The SFC numbers you scrap or delete in this activity can have any status, depending upon activity rules.

Rules

The following table describes rules and settings that you can change for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

SCRAP_COMPONENT_OPTION

SCRAP_AND_RETURN_COMP (default): Scraps the parent and returns child SFC components to the inventory

SCRAP_PARENT: Scraps only the parent SFC number. The child components are intact.

SCRAP_ALL: Scraps both the parent and child SFC components

SCRAP_DEL_ACTIVE_SFC

YES (default): Allows an SFC number with a status of Active to be scrapped or deleted

NO: Prevents an SFC number with a status of Active from being scrapped or deleted

SCRAP_DEL_DONE_SFC

YES (default): Allows an SFC number with a status of Done to be scrapped or deleted

NO: Prevents an SFC number with a status of Done from being scrapped or deleted

Fields

The following table describes fields requiring explanation:

Activity

Identifies the action to be performed on the identified SFC numbers when you choose Scrap or Delete

None (default): Specifies that the user has not selected the action to be performed on the identified SFC numbers

Note that you must select either Scrap or Delete.

Scrap

Removes the selected SFC numbers from production by marking them as Scrapped

Note that this pushbutton appears when the user chooses Scrap from the Activity dropdown list and SFC numbers are valid for the activity selected.

Delete

Removes the selected SFC numbers from production by marking them as Deleted

Note that this pushbutton appears when the user chooses Delete from the Activity dropdown list and SFC numbers are valid for the activity selected.
