You can use this process to set up printing for travelers.

Process

  1. In System Rule Maintenance, you define the Document Printing Temporary Directory. For example c:\\temp.

  2. In Document Maintenance, you create a Shop Order Traveler document by copying the existing document BASE_SHOP_ORDER_TRAVELER_DOC. You make the necessary changes, naming this file as SHOP_ORDER_TRAVELER_DOC.

  3. In Activity Maintenance, you retrieve the existing activity SY520 and rename this printing hook activity to SO_PRINT. On the Rules tab page, you change the setting of the DOCUMENTS rule to SHOP_ORDER_TRAVELER_DOC.

  4. In POD Maintenance, you define printers for all the three document types (see POD Maintenance).

  5. In Material Maintenance, Routing Maintenance, or Container Maintenance, you attach the shop order traveler document.

  6. In Operation Maintenance, Resource Maintenance, Routing Maintenance, or Site Maintenance, you assign the printing hook to a hook point.

  7. You run the production.

Note Note

The document is printed if the printing hook has been executed at the defined hook point.

End of the note.
