System Setup Rules 
This group controls communications and other system setup settings as follows:

Certification Expiration Warning Period | The number of days before a certification expires in which the system generates an event to optionally notify personnel that a certification is nearing expiration Default: 90 Can override at: site |

Document Printing Temporary Directory | The directory path on the application server where a document formatter used with the system writes working files. Third-party print applications such as Loftware or Adobe retrieve files from this directory. Default:

Enable Collaboration Action Messages | If set to true (default), sends Outbound Collaboration action messages to an external system.

Enable LDAP authentication | If set to true, enables the LDAP service for the user authentication. Can override at: site |
Enable SFC Complete JMS Message | If set to true (default), displays a warning message in the POD if the planned conditions configured in Real-Time Warning Maintenance have not been met. Can override at: site |
Enable SFC Data Transfer | If set to true, generates and transfers manufacturing data of an SFC number that has the status Done, as configured in Export Template Maintenance, to another system or SAP ME destination site. Can override at: site
This rule is dependent on the Enable Collaboration Action Messages rule. If Collaboration action messages are disabled, then SFC number data is not transferred regardless of the setting of this rule. End of the note. |
Enable Single Sign-On (SSO) | If set to true, enables the Single Sign-On authentication service |
Failed Logon Limit | The number of times a user can enter an incorrect password on the Login screen before they are locked out of the system. Default: 20 Can override at: site
Use User Maintenance to reset the locked-out user by changing the Status dropdown box value from Inactive to Active. End of the recommendation. |
Mail Server | The Internet or network address of the mail server that sends event notifications. This must be a valid SMTP server address. Default: blank Can override at: site |
Messages Validity Period | The number of days to store alarm messages. This rule is used with the Production XML event. Default: 30 Can override at: site |
Minimum Password Length | The minimum number of characters in the user password Default: 6 Can override at: site |

Require Legacy Security Validation | If set to true (default), requires user authentication for legacy integration. Can override at: site |
Source Mail Address | The e-mail address of the sender for event notification messages sent within the system. For example, this value is displayed in the From field in Microsoft Outlook. This must be a valid e-mail address. Default: blank Can override at: site |
