Procedure

  1. Run the kit SFC number down the routing until it is in the Done status.

  2. In Assembly Point, assemble the components into the kit SFC number (see Assembly Point).

    Note Note

    If the Enforce Pegging on Consumption system rule is set to true, only SFC numbers pegged to the Kit shop order are listed in the browse.

  3. Run the kit SFC number down the routing until it is in the Done status.

  4. Assemble the kit SFC number into the top-level material before any actual components are assembled.

    If the Enforce Pegging on Consumption system rule is set to true, only kit SFC numbers pegged to the top-level material shop order are listed in the browse.

During the actual assemble of a component in the kit SFC number, you execute the Component Confirmation activity to collect the assembly data values to confirm that they match the information in the kit (see Component Confirmation).
