Process

  1. In Material Maintenance, you create a record for the kit and components belonging to the kit:

    • On the Main tab page, in the Type field, you choose Kit.

    • On the Build tab page, in the Data to Collect on Assembly field, you enter KIT_SFC.

  2. In BOM Maintenance, you create BOM records for the top-level materials and the kit.

    You add the kit as the first component to be assembled at an operation so that the Component Confirmation activity recognizes the kit components prior to their actual assembly.
