Primary fields
Maintenance activities have primary key fields. Primary key fields appear at the top of the screen. The primary key fields correspond to the fields in the database that make the record unique.
For example, the primary fields in Material Maintenance are Site, Material, and Version. The following shows two different records:
First record |
Second record |
|---|---|
Site: ABC |
Site: ABC |
Material: ModelG |
Material: ModelG |
Version: A |
Version: B |
Tab pages
Maintenance activities have a Main tab page and can have additional tab pages. Choose the tab page and then enter information related to that tab page.
The browse icons
The system displays browse icons after the fields. When you click the icon, the system displays a list of all existing entries for the field.
Note
If the field contains an existing value, the system displays only that value in the list. To display all values, clear the field. To narrow the list, you can enter one or more initial characters for the value. The system displays only the values that begin with those characters.
Add/Remove panels
Tab pages on some maintenance activities contain two panels. The panel on the left contains a list of values that are available for assignment to the record.
The list on the right contains the values assigned to the record.
The left list displays the values that you can associate with this record. The left list is similar to a browse. The list on the right contains the values associated with this record.
For example, in Material Maintenance on the Material Group tab page, the Available Material Groups panel is on the left and the Assigned Material Groups panel is on the right. The Available panel displays all the material groups that exist in the site. The Assigned Material Groups panel displays the material groups associated with the current material.
