Process

  1. If you are using the PCA Dashboard, you proceed as follows:

    1. In Material Maintenance, you enter information about the drawing in the Drawing Name field.

    2. In System Rule Maintenance or NC Client Maintenance, you enter the value of the D2B server. You can use different D2B servers for some clients for load balancing.

      Note Note

In System Rule Maintenance, make sure there are values for the mail server and the mail source address.

      End of the note.
  2. If the nonconformance clients that come with the system do not meet your needs, you create new ones in NC Client Maintenance. You create any nonconformance lists you need in List Maintenance.

    Note Note

You can retrieve an existing nonconformance client to use as a template and save it under another name.

    End of the note.
  3. In POD Maintenance, you enter the client you want for this POD in the NC Client field on the Main tab page. On the Buttons tab page, you create a row for the nonconformance pushbutton and associate it with the NC500 POD pushbutton activity.

When an operator using this workstation chooses the nonconformance pushbutton, the system uses the settings in the nonconformance client to determine what to display to the user.

    Note Note

If any PCA Dashboard users are to use Analysis or Repair mode, ensure a system administrator has set the FailureHistoryExtract.bat file to run in a scheduler and that the file has been run at least once. Running this batch file is necessary to display the Verified Defects chart in the PCA Dashboard in Repair mode.

    End of the note.
  4. If required, you enter a nonconformance client in the NC Client field in Operation Maintenance. This value overrides the value in POD Maintenance.
