You can use the data collection process to collect information about SFC numbers, work centers, or resources.

Process

  1. In Data Collection Maintenance, you define a new data collection (DC) group (see Data Collection Group).

    Note Note

The Collect Data at field defines when the Data Collection plug-in is displayed at the defined attachment point.

For the Data Collection functionality to work properly, you must sequence it to match the Collect Data at value in Data Collection Maintenance.

When setting up the Standard and Integrated PODs with DC500, you sequence it after the Start (PR500) and before the Complete (PR510).

When setting up the Rich POD with DC500_RICH, you must sequence it after the Rich POD Start (PR500_RICH) and before the Rich POD Complete (PR510_RICH).

    End of the note.
  2. You choose Insert New to open the Parameter Detail screen.

  3. You add the new data parameter and enter its values (see Data Parameter).

  4. If you want to define the additional data specific to a particular parameter, you choose Insert New on the User Options tab page, and enter the desired values.

  5. If you want to define the additional subset of data specific to a particular parameter to be displayed, you choose Insert New on the User-Defined Fields tab page, and enter the desired values.

  6. On the SPC tab page, you define the key fields to execute the SPC analysis of the data parameters (see Statistical Process Control (SPC)).
