Labor Rule Maintenance
You use this activity to define rules governing how certain features of labor tracking work at your site, including employee attendance, default SFC LCCs, and how rollup works. For more information, see Determining Labor Rules.
The following tables describe fields requiring explanation:
Field |
Description |
|---|---|
Automatic Clock-Out At Shift End |
If selected, rollup clocks the user out and assigns the normal shift end time, if a user does not clock out at shift end. If you select Signoff in the Action Applied at Clock-Out to SFCs in Work field, rollup also signs off the SFC numbers in the user's Active Work list.
If the user performs work in the POD after shift end, rollup does not set a clock out time for the user. If you select Only within Interval in the Clock-In/Out Range Control field, and the user performs work in the POD during the clock-out interval, rollup does not set a clock out time for the user. End of the note. |
Allow Clock-In on Non-Production Day |
If selected, allows users to clock in on a day defined as Non-Production for their shift in User Shift Maintenance. Note that supervisors can always clock employees in on non-production days. |
Clock-In/Out Range Control |
Only within Interval: Allows users to clock in only during the clock-in interval, and clocks users out only during the clock-out interval Only within Shift and Interval: Allows users to clock in during the clock-in interval and during the shift, and clocks users out only during the clock-out interval and during the shift Anytime (default): Allows users to clock in and out at any time Note that you define shifts and clock-in and clock-out intervals on the User Shift Maintenance screen. |
Clock-In Control |
Automatic Clock-In at Login: Clocks users in automatically when they log in to the system Require Clock-In Before Login: Prevents users from logging in until they have clocked in Manual Clock-In (default): Clocks users in and log users in independently |
ID for Clock-In/Out |
Specifies the value employees use when clocking in or out. The system displays the appropriate label in the Clock-In/Out activity. Badge Number: Requires users to enter their badge numbers Login ID: Requires users to enter their login IDs Employee Number: Requires users to enter their employee numbers User ID (default): Requires users to enter their user IDs
Supervisors always specify other users by user ID in Supervisor Clock-In/Out. You specify the values for these numbers and ID on the Main tab page, on the User Maintenance screen. End of the note. |
Action Applied at Clock-Out to SFCs in Work |
None (default): Leaves the operator's SFC numbers in the Active Work list Signoff: Signs off the operator's SFC numbers |
On Premises Report Retention Period |
Sets the number of hours the On Premises Report covers. The On Premises Report displays all user clock-ins and clock-outs during this time period. Managers can use the On Premises Report to determine whether a user has clocked in or clocked out during this time period. The default value is 48. Leave blank to use the default value. |
