Statistical Evaluations in Header
Details
You can call up the header details in the MRP list, the stock/requirements list, and the planning result. The header details offer statistical evaluations for ranges of coverage and stock and receipt quantities.
In the header details, you can show the following tab pages with extended statistical evaluations:
● Ranges of coverage
● Stocks
● Period statistics
● Statistics 2
These tab pages provide you with extensive evaluation options. Among other things, you can enter an end date for the evaluation on the Stocks and Statistics 2 tab pages, so that you can determine the evaluation period on an individual basis. The system then calculates the stock and receipt quantities up to this date and displayes them in aggregated form.
In the standard system, the Statistics 1 and Stocks/Ranges of Coverage tab pages are shown in the header details. However only a statistical evaluation over the whole year is possible on these tab pages.
● To be able to show the tab pages for the extended statistical evaluations in the header details, you must proceed as follows:
○ In the first Stepp, check the screen sequences N01 and N02, offered in Customizing for Material Requirements Planning in the IMG activity Define Screen Sequence Header Details. These screen sequences already contain the tab pages for the extended statistical evaluations.
If you want to create your own screen sequences, you can also use the two screen sequences as templates.
○ In the second Stepp, you must assign one of the new screen sequences to the MRP type used in the IMG activity Check MRP Type in Customizing for Material Requirements Planning. In this way, all materials that have this MRP type get the new tab page in the header details.
● You have defined the limit values for the range-of-coverage evaluation in the evaluation profile for range-of-coverage data.
● You have stipulated a default period for the creation of the period statistics in the evaluation profile and assigned the latter to an MRP group. The system then uses this period to calculate the period statistics for the materials to which you have assigned the MRP group.
The following tab pages with statistical evaluations are offered in the header details:
● Ranges of coverage
The Ranges of Coverage tab page provides data on the plant and safety stock of the material, as well as the range-of-coverage values for all three range-of-coverage types determined by the system. (Note that the "range of coverage" when measured in days, as in the PP area, may also be referred to as the "days' supply".) The appropriate traffic light is displayed for each range-of-coverage value. You can tell from the color of the traffic light whether or not a range-of-coverage (days' supply) value is critical. The limit values from the evaluation profile are also displayed. See also: Evaluation of Range-of-Coverage Data with the Evaluation Profile
● Stocks
The Stocks tab page shows the current stock levels plus firm (fixed) receipts and requirements. If you enter a date in the Evaluation End Date field, the system determines the firm receipts and the requirements that exist as at this date. The stock information in the left-hand column does not change however.
● Period statistics
The period statistics are stock and receipt statistics for the period you have set as the default period in the evaluation profile. If, for example, you have stipulated Week as the default period, the system calculates the total requirements from the current week, the total requirements of the next week, and those of the week after next in the period statistics. However, you can also change the period directly on this tab page. In addition, you can define in the evaluation profile whether or not planned independent requirements are to be taken into account as well.
The following information is displayed for each type of receipt element:
○ Quantity subject to delay
○ Quantity of current period
○ Quantity of next period
○ Quantity of period after next
○ Total of these four quantities
● Statistics 2
These statistics cover all MRP elements of the MRP list or stock/requirements list. The total quantity in the whole period is displayed for each MRP element. However, you can manually enter an end date for the evaluation. In this way, you can restrict the period of the statistical evaluation to the next two weeks, for example, to obtain an overview of the receipt and requirement quantities in this period.
