 Business Add-Ins for Closing Operations Locate this document in the navigation structure

You can use the following Business Add-Ins (BAdIs) if you want to adapt the functions for year-end operations to suit your own requirements.

Derivation Strategy

  • BAdI: Enhanced Functions for Derivation Strategy (PSM_FM_FYC_DERIVE)

    You can use this BAdI to supplement the derivation of FM account assignments for reassignment using derivation tool as follows:

    • You can add your own fields to the derivation strategy, by using enhancement structure CI_FMYC and then fill and evaluate them. With a commitment carryforward or a mid-year reassignment, it is advisable to include all components of structure FMIDATA.

    • You can create and program a derivation step of step type Enhancement.

    • You can supplement the log of the program for fiscal year change operations by adding additional parameters. This allows you to stop the execution of individual closing operations.

Closing operations for commitments

  • BADI: Setting the Statistics Indicator f. Commt Carryforward (FM_CCF_SET_STATISTIC)

    You can use this BAdI to set the statistics indicator for the data records generated during the commitments carryforward separately for the data record in the sender year (amount type Carryforward Previous Year Commitment ) and the data record in the receiver year (amount type Carryforward Following Year Commitment) .

  • BADI:Filter for Closing Open Items for Fiscal Year Change (FM_CCL_FILTER_ITEMS)

    You can use this BAdI to use your own rules for closing open commitments that further restrict the amount of automatic line items that can be closed. The program Closing Operations: Closing Open Items (RFFMCCLS) then only offers the line items that comply with these rules for closure.

  • BAdI: User Manipulations in Document Chain Carryforward (FMCCF_CHAIN_GEN)

    You can use this BAdI to influence the way in which the document chain carryforward functions. For example, you can define a new root level by severing a document chain.

Budget Closing Operations

  • BAdI: Budget Carryforward of Negative Budget Values (SMOD_FMCFBUD2)

    You can use this BAdI to calculate residual budget in accordance with your own requirements.

Closing Operations for the Budget Control System

  • BAdI: Changing Budget Entry Doc for Carryforward of Commitments (FMBCCF_ENTRY_DOC)

    You can use this BAdI to enhance budget entry documents generated automatically from carried forward budget when carrying forward commitment.

  • BAdI: Document Budget Carryforward for Approval Procedure (FM_CCF_APPROVAL)

    You can use this BAdI to document the carryforward of commitment budget in the commitment line items with the active two-step approval procedure.
