Copying Public Sector Fields into FI Fields Locate this document in the navigation structure

If you have activated the name enhancement in the Customizing of Funds Management Government, the following alternative fields are available for the area, Public Sector Management (PSM) for the address of customers or vendors : Title (PSOTL), first name (PSOVN), name 1 (PSON1), name 2 (PSON2) and name 3 (PSON3). The data contained in these is copied by the program into the fields, Name 1 to Name 4 of the Financial Accounting component. The assignment of the field contents occurs as follows:

If the PSM fields, title and first name are empty, the program copies the PSM fields PSON1 to PSON3 into the FI fields, Name 1 to Name 3.

Otherwise, the program always tries to pack as many PSM fields as possible into an FI field. When this takes place, the PSM fields are written one after another. A space (represented by an underscore in the table below) separates the individual PSM fields. As an FI field can include a maximum of 35 characters, the program must copy the PSM field content into several FI fields in certain cases.
