You use this activity to manually log the selection of tools that are used at a manufacturing operation.

The following table describes rules and settings defined for this activity in Activity Maintenance:

Specifies the plug-in location in the SAP ME folder structure

Default value: /COM/SAP/ME/TOOLING/CLIENT/LOGTOOLINGVIEW.JSP

Any changes to the PLUGIN_URL activity rule setting in Activity Maintenance may result in incorrect display of the plug-in in the POD.

Fields

Tool Number

Only tool numbers in Enabled status are displayed. Tool numbers of a None tracking control type are grayed out and displayed at the top of the list.

Note Note

If you log a tool for an SFC number, the tool’s status changes from Enabled to Productive and it is not displayed in Browse for Tool Number. To log the tool again you need to reset its status to Enabled using the RESET_TOOL_HOOK hook point activity (see Reset Tool Status).

Qty Logged

The quantity of tools that are already logged against the selected tool group at the current attachment point
