Representing Budgetable Elements 
To be able to see more clearly which elements you can budget for, you can enter the following settings:
Display of all hierarchy levels in all funds centers and commitment items
Display funds centers and commitment items with the different levels indented
Display all funds centers and commitment items with names
On the screen for entering budgeting, you first see the budgetable elements displayed as explained below:

You see the funds center hierarchy, with the relevant top commitment items where budgeting is possible. You can now budget across centers.
Double-click a "+" sign to expand the commitment item hierarchy for each funds center. You can now budget within the funds centers.
