Use

In practice, it is often the case that you are interrupted while entering a document or you do not know all the data required for completing a document, such as the precise amount or the relevant cost center.

In these cases, you can use the Park function to save the data you have entered and then continue entering the document later. If you park a document in this way, it must not be complete. No check is made on the saved data.

Integration

  • Parked documents cannot be reduced, nor can they reduce any other documents.

  • Value adjustments cannot be created for parked documents.

  • Parked documents do not enter the workflow. Only when you post the document is a workflow run.

  • Parked documents are not updated and therefore you cannot view them in the information system.

  • Parked documents cannot be carried forward to the new year during fiscal year change operations.

  • You can only use the Change FM Account Assignment function for posted documents. (This function is only used by European Union customers).

  • Information on budget increases is only saved when you post a document.

  • Changes made to a parked document are not documented in change documents.

Prerequisites

You have not finished maintaining a document with a document header and at least one document line item.

Activities

  1. Enter the document in the normal way. You must enter the document header and at least one document line item.

  2. Click on  ( ) Park .

The system saves the document without checking it and flags the document in the document header as  ( ) parked .

You can use the change function for earmarked funds to complete the parked document later.
