 Distribution Key Locate this document in the navigation structure

In annual value budgeting, the system interprets the values entered as annual values. Using a distribution key, you can generate a periodic display of these annual values according to various criteria. This applies to all budgeting transactions.

There are already distribution keys defined in the standard system which you cannot change.

However, you can create as many of your own distribution keys as you like, such as for evaluating budget utilization for a quarter.

Prerequisites

In Customizing for Funds Management , you must have assigned a budget profile for the active FM area by choosing Assign budget profile to FM area . Here Annual values and Period values should be activated.

You can define a distribution key in the budget profile. The distribution key then appears in the budgeting transactions as the default value in the budget structure element overview and can be overwritten if required.
