Object documentationCarrier

A mean of transportation that is used to move raw materials, semifinished or finished goods (SFCs) from one location to another. Examples of carriers are trays and cassettes.

In Carrier Type Maintenance, you can define a layout of a carrier. As a result, production operators can add SFC numbers to different positions in the layout of a carrier in the POD. Carriers are used on the shop floor to group the individual SFC numbers. The operations are performed based on the carrier rather than on each SFC number.

Structure

Carriers can have the following attributes:

  • Carrier Type

  • Description

  • Layout

  • Total Carrier Max Qty
